Thanksgiving night!

After Wyatt's nap we took him downtown to play. It was great because there were so few people making it super stress free. Wyatt is still not that interested in playing on the playground but he does love to run down the hills. I am still a little overly cautious so I don't let him run down by himself. Sometimes I can tell he gets annoyed with me but, oh well, better safe than sorry. After we ran down the hills we went over to the aquarium to walk around and he played in the dried up riverbeds. Overall we had such a great day!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

Vincent, Wyatt, and I celebrated our first Thanksgiving with just the 3 of us. Vincent works the day before and the day after a holiday so traveling is quite difficult on holidays. I decided not to cook so we ate a a restaurant called The Choo Choo. The food was so great!! It was definately a very relaxed day. No cooking, no dishes. Just the 3 of us. It was great! We are however headed to Memphis on Sat to see my sister, nephew, brother in law, my brother, parents, cousins, but most importantly to meet my brother's new wife!! I am so excited to meet her and see who she is. I have heard great things about her through my brother so I am extremely happy to finally meet her.

Hiking with a sick baby

Wyatt has been sick recently (and given his illness to both of his parents) and unable to go anywhere with other kids therefore we are all becoming extremely bored with the house. We were so annoyed with staying home that we have taken him on a few hikes and had to listen to an increased amount of crying due to the sickness and the fact that we think he is starting to not like riding in the backpack. Unfortunately for our little bubby, mommy and daddy enjoy hiking and will listen to the whining. I become a bit tougher with Wyatt when I have been stuck at home and just want to get out. He thinks the crying will help him achieve his goal of getting out of the backpack but he will learn:). The picture of him with his head over the rock is when Vincent was making him rock climb. He is going to try and make him and outdoors man even if he doesn't like it. The last picture is of a happy Wyatt eating his cheerios and grapes for breakfast. The boy has 2 sides:)!

Another date!!

Vincent and I got Lauren to babysit last night so we could go on a date. I do not have any pictures of our date but I do have pictures of our beautiful son. Vincent took Wyatt outside while I was getting ready and got some great pictures of Wyatt doing his daily activites. He loves kicking balls and putting everything possible in his mouth (which explains the dirt on his chin). He loves being outside and we are fortunate to have a big yard for him to explore. He may be a pro soccor player or a guard on a basketball team. He is great at shooting, from a distance, and swishing the basketball and he also will kick a ball for 30 minutes or more. When he really gets into kicking he grunts with each kick and when he makes a basket he holds his hands up or looks at you and expects applause!!

Possum Creek

Vincent and I have recently been trying to go out every other week without the baby and so far it has been a success. We have found a babysitter that Wyatt is familiar with because she works at the YMCA( in the childcare-where he goes everyday). We both like her and so far she has done great with him. I feel really lucky to have found her because after about 2 weeks, or less, Vincent and I just want to go out together without the baby boy:). He is great but I just love being alone with Vincent and doing the things we use to do such as hiking peacefully without the worry that Wyatt might get upset and going out to a relaxing dinner. Wyatt is just perfect in every way but he is after all 19 months old and he does not like to sit and talk at dinner or be stuck in a backpack for an hour while we hike. He wants to walk around and touch things. I don't blame him!! This was our hike yesterday to Possum Creek. It was of course just gorgeous! After the hike we went to supper and had sushi which was also great. When we came home lauren had already bathed him and put away his toys. All we had to do was put him to bed. We had so much fun!

Navy Seal Extreme Race

Vincent was in a race with a team from his work last Saturday in Cosby Tn. He and his team did great, coming in 2nd overall! I hate to admit it but I was a tad bit jealous because Vincent has never been a runner (and I have been for so many years) and running just came so easily to him. He could eat an entire bowl of cereal (or an entire meal of KFC for that matter:)) and go out and run 5 miles. Crazy!!! He is one of the few naturally athletic people where anything he sets out to do he is excellent at. He is a very impressive and smart man and so wonderful at everything he does. Not to mention he is super handsome, sweet, and such a great dad. I could go on and on but I am sure his sisters might read this and want to throw up so I will stop with the Vincent compliments. This is a picture of him and his team. This was a trail race with obstacles. The first hill was a climb of 700ft and then he had to rope climb things, get over boulders, and wade through muddy waters. Sounds just great huh!! Oh and don't be jealous of Vincent's tan legs:)

Happy Halloween

My little 19 month old adorable son was turned into a child murderer by his father. From the day Wyatt came into the world Vincent thought Wyatt looked just like Chucky and could not wait until he could paint his face and hairspray his hair turning him into Chucky. Vincent did such a great job that everyone at trunk or treat knew that Wyatt was Chucky and even the next day at church people were calling him Chucky. He really did look sooooo cute and he was so good for Vincent while he was getting his makeup on. He really looked so funny:)
