At home in Memphis

Wyatt and I flew home to Memphis this weekend ( this was Wyatt's first flight). He did OK on the plane but he was a bit fussy. He is such a wiggle worm that it was very hard to make him stay in my lap for the 1 1/2 hour flight but I guess overall he did well. The visit so far has been great. I have to leave on Tuesday and I am very sad. I love coming home and being with my family. Living 6 hours away is very hard but I guess for right now that is what I am going to have to do. Wyatt has done very well so far (except he is on an antibiotic for an ear infection and he has had and increase in the amount of poop in his diapers). That would be Ok except that he poops at 1:30 in the morning so I have to get up and change him and then try to get him back to sleep-oh well my mom has been great to help me with him in the early mornings so that I can get some sleep. Also on this trip I bought him an excersaucer that hangs from the door frame. He does like it but he wants someone around because he is bit intimidated by the way it bounces when he moves his legs. Well here are just a few pictures from the trip. Oh yeah and I missed seeing my sister-Elem got sick so she had to stay home. Missed you Mindy.

New Computer

Well I have been waiting to post until we could download more new pictures but our computer supposedly can hold no more so we are most likely getting a new computer today. I am writing this while Wyatt is taking his 2nd 30-40 minute nap today. I think I mentioned he is a terrible nap taker-oh well I have fought enough with him and now I am giving in. If he wants to take longer naps that is up to him. I have started putting him to bed at about 730 and he is still sleeping until about 630-645. He is really tired at that time so instead of trying to keep him up until 830-900 I decided that since he does not take good naps that he could go to sleep at 730ish. That at least gives me some me time during the day. Well my parents are coming this weekend so I will take pictures and post them when we get the new computer. As for now I will go back through the thousand older pictures of Wyatt-sorry. Oh yeah I forgot to tell everyone that Wyatt is getting his first tooth. He is a bit more fussy and he is drooling terribly-he also can not stop biting on everything especially his hands.
Once again since I do not know how to type over each picture I will tell you about them here. The first one of course is of our beautiful princess Thorn when we went hiking the other day. That is the one thing Vincent and I have in common we both love to hike. Our hikes have gotten so much shorter now that we hike with the baby. We now only hike at the most 3 miles because that is about all the baby can take plus we are carrying around a 15 pound baby on our chest. There are a few pictures of my sister, brother, Wyatt and I on the beach at my sister's wedding. There is also a picture of Vincent and I on the beach. There is a pictures of my sister-in-law Vanessa when she came to see Wyatt. There is also a picture of Wyatt in his bumbo seat looking at the orchid Vincent got me when I was not having a good day. Vincent is a great husband and he really tries to make me happy-I really love him. I think I have commented on them all except for the one where Wyatt was being a big boy and sitting on the couch all by himself. Hope you enjoy.

More Random pictures

Today I went to a women's get together at my church. I was a bit sad about going because my favorite time with Wyatt is in the morning but I went anyway and daddy took care of the baby. I am so glad that I went. The group meets once every month at church and they just talk about whatever is on there mind. They are reading a book but they will get off the topic to talk about whatever. The group is very laid back and easy to talk to and they seem to be very accepting. It is a group of all Church of Christ women but everyone is not from the same congregation. I really enjoyed this time and I am already looking forward to next months visit. Anyway Vincent did upload many new pictures on the computer so I will just post some more random pictures of my baby boy. Hope you enjoy.
I will explain a bit about the pictures. I do not know how to write above the pictures that I posted so I will just write it here. The first picture is the b-day cake that I ordered for Vincent from Marble Slab- I told the girl to write Happy Birthday Vincent and I spelled it out and everything and when I picked up the cake it said Happy Birthday Zinzent. I mean who has that name but i just thought Oh well and I did not say anything. The next pictures is of my beautiful sister and her beautiful son Elem. I mean just look at how beautiful they are. This is at her wedding on the beach. I truly think that I have the most beautiful sister. Seth is so lucky to have married her. The rest of the pictures are of the handsome Wyatt. There are a few of my best friend Courtney when she came to see the baby. She stayed for about 5 days and it was so much fun. I do not know if she will agree but I loved having her here and offered to pay her 10 dollars an hour to be my nanny but she turned my down. She lives in Dallas and is a speech therapist. She has been my best friend since about pre-school. She is so wonderful and beautiful. Every time we see each other it is like we have never been apart. I love her just like a sister in fact many people think we are sisters because we have many similar looks and expressions in other words i am saying that i am beautiful because i think she is beautiful (just kidding). Well lastly I will explain about the shirtless pictures of Wyatt in the bathtub. Bath time use to be a dreaded time in our household. Wyatt would scream and cry the entire time. Now bath time is such a fun time. He loves his baths and kicks a pool of water out of his little bathtub onto the kitchen floor everytime he gets a bath. I now take off all my clothes to bathe him because if not I will be soaking wet. He of course thinks it is so fun and I am so glad. It is so hard to do anything to your baby that they do not like so I am glad he has started to like bathtime. Well sorry so long. Hope you enjoyed the pictures.

teresa's visit

Wyatt and I always love when people come to visit us. Yesterday my good friend that I use to work with in Nashville came to see me and Wyatt. This was the first time she had actually seen him and of coarse she thought he was so cute (because he is). She has a 2 year old son named Nathan and I am expecting another baby from her sometime soon although she is not pregnant I am ready for her to go on and have another one. Nathan is so sweet and cute. She was supposed to bring him but since my house is not child proof she was afraid that she would not get to see Wyatt because she would be chasing Nathan around. Well we had a great visit. She was only here yesterday and left this morning but it was definately great to see her. You do not realize how much you need to talk to someone other than a 4 month old (especially a girl). I mean of course I love talking to Wyatt but for some reason he does not get what I am trying to say(hehe). I really miss Nashville and all my old friends there. Chattanooga is OK but I have not yet met the good friends like I had in Nashville-plus I am now about 5 1/2-6 hours away from my parents and about 8 hours away from my sister and her baby boy and now 2 hours away from my sister in laws. I also really miss where I use to work in Nashville. I loved my job and I loved the people that I worked with. Nashville, in my opionion is such a great place and I would pack my house up and move right back if it was up to me. So for all you people that live in Nashville consider yourselves lucky because you do not know how good you have it. Well I could of course go on and on on this topic but I do not want to depress anyone. Once Vincent gets home and shows me how to upload pictures from the camera onto the computer I will post some new pictures of my sweet spastic baby boy.Oh yeah I guess I have not told everyone yet that I have the most hyper baby. If he is awake he is wiggling. Unless you have been around him you really do not understand how much enery he has. When Teresa was here she was very impressed with his ability to never sit still. She told me that once he starts walking I am definately going to have my hands full. He is also the worst nap taker so I think that he gets so tired that he becomes a spaz. Anyone that has any nap taking advise let me know. I feel like I have tried everything with him but he just fights taking a nap. Oh yes one other random comment on Wyatt-today he was fussing and he is doing this new thing where he practically puts his head in your armpit to go to try and take a nap well he could not get comfortable and he kept trying to (what I thought seemed like breast feed) so stupid me whipped it out and Wyatt who I only breastfed for 2 weeks, and then I have been pumping all my milk, breastfed. Is that weird or what. I thought for one second that i might start breastfeeding him since he did so well but then I thought again and decided against it. Ok I will post pictures soon.

Thorny pictures

Thorn is our pride and joy so we must show pictures of her of course. She is a 9 year old doberman pincher and she is so so beautiful and sweet (although most of our family does not think she is sweet). She is a red doberman with flopsy ears. Her ears were cropped as a puppy but they did not stand so she has flopsy ears. In my opinion her ears make her look so sweet and friendly, which is decieving because she is aggressive and protective. Vincent had Thorn for about 6 years before we started dating and she was very attached to him. The problem with Thorn is she does not accept new people very well so needless to say I was a bit intimidated the first few months that I was trying to get to know her but now that I know her I love her so much and feel so lucky to have her. She is a built in alarm system with teeth. Also she is so smart. She follows commands and remembers all of Vincent's friends even if she has not seen them in years. We were a bit worried about how she would be with Wyatt but she has been great so far. When he cries she runs in his room and checks on him and just about every morning she will lick his head when he wakes up which is so sweet. Enjoy these pictures of our beautiful 86 pound doberman.

Random pictures

Today I will be posting just some random pictures to catch everyone up to our life in the past 4 months. I do not want to go back and start with Wyatt's first month of life so I will just post a few pictures so everyone can see the changes that Wyatt has gone through. It is amazing how much he has already changed in 4 months. He went from only crying to smiling and talking (of course he still cries). He went from not lifting his head at all to being able to lift it about 90 degrees when on his belly. He went from a red head to more of a strawberry blond. He went from a very pale skinned baby to a super tan 4 month old (just kidding). It is also amazing how much my love for him has changed through out these last 4 months. For the first couple of weeks I thought that I maybe had made a mistake and I wanted anyone that wanted to to take him home with them. Now I could not imagine my life without him. I look forward to going into his room at about 6:45 a.m. and listening to him talk me ( although I am not too fond of going in his room at 11:30,2:30, and 5:00 to put his pacifier back in) . Wyatt wakes up talking and truly talks throughout the entire day. He loves to hear himself and he really wants you to pay attention to what he is saying. He looks you directly in the eye and talks as if he is really trying to get his point across. He is so cute and of course smart already. Well enough about all that here are some pictures. I hope I do this correct. I hope everyone enjoys.

My First Mother's Day

My first blog

This is the first time that I have created a blog and I am doing so because my sister really wants me to. I am not for sure how to get pictures on the blog yet but when I figure it out I will post many pictures. As my "about me" section of the blog already stated I am a mother of an almost 4 month old baby boy named Wyatt. He is the most handsome child there is. He has red hair (right now) and he is extremely white just like his parents. I am staying at home with him for at least a year and then I will most likely go back to work as a registered nurse. I am married and my husband just finished school and started working as a CRNA in march. We have a doberman pincher named Thorn who is 9 years old and a king snake named Oscar who we think is about 4 years old. I will now try to post some pictures of our family.
